Classic Steel Homes Director, Stephen Morris, has been using steel framing for the past seven years as a preferred alternative to timber.
Morris sums up the reason why in two words, "Overall simplicity."
"There is no other way to describe working with steel framing. It is just so easy to handle," says Morris.
Morris is continually impressed with the long list of benefits from using steel framing. He adds that there are often many on-going issues when dealing with timber which prove to be both time consuming and expensive.
"If there is ever a problem with Frametek steel framing – which is very rarely, the turnaround time is so quick," says Morris. "Steel framing is so simple to re-programme and it is more than likely you will have the material back that same day."
Morris says the benefits of using a product that is manmade, is that there is no chance of it ever changing shape.
"The lack of on going maintenance with Frametek steel framing is such a bonus. 99% of finished projects we never have to return to – there are no drying or warping issues that you have to be conscious of when dealing with wood."
Morris began using steel framing as a product of choice, as he believed it to be an obvious advancement for the development of the building industry.
"It just makes sense to go steel. You deal directly with the manufacture from start to finish. I can't emphasise enough how simple the whole process is," says Morris.
"Steel framing is the way of the future!"
